Canada and the world, her gradual drive toward political autonomy from Great Britain, her close economic ties with the United States, as well as the development of Canada as a peacekeeper are the subject of the SS 11 discourse. Historic and contemporary issues in government as well as Canada's international commitment to developing nations are examined through a case study approach.

Law 12 students will learn basic legal concepts that focus on the rights and responsibilities of citizens and will get an understanding of how Canada's legal system operates in a variety of legal fields. A practical and experiential approach with guest speakers and court watching opportunities will enhance the classroom atmosphere.
