Odyssey 12 Students

Food Bank Drive - extended to June 22, 2018
DT Fellowship is sponsoring a food drive that will be helping two families in the DT community. We would appreciate it greatly if students would like to participate in the food drive, (food items can be also dropped off in the foyer or in the library). The food items should be non-perishable, such as canned foods, baby food, cereal, rice, beans, and beef-free items would also be appreciated.
The challenge is to strive for five (5) cans per class. Thank you for your support!
 
Grade 11 - Diploma Verification Report (DVR)
There will be a MANDATORY meeting to review your Diploma Verfiication Report (DVR) on Tuesday, June 19. Students will be called down to the cafeteria at silent reading.
 
Library - OVERDUE Books
Students are remidned to return ALL LIBRARY books to the library ASAP.
 
Career Education Assigments
Grade 9: Thank you to all those who handed in their Career Education Assignments! There are still several of you who have yet to submit, please do so immediately in order to receive a mark on your report card!
  
Grade 10 - Summer Trade Courses
Any Grade 10's interested in registering for a Summer Trades course exploring carpentry, auto and metal for 3 weeks in July worth 4 credits should see their counsellor, Ms. Tsui for more information.
 
Grade 12 - Provincial August Exam Registration - English Rewrite
1. August Exam registration for non-summer school students
     1. Vancouver students, not registered in Summer School, wishing to write these exams are required to complete an application form at: Summer School Office in Education Centre between May 7 to July 6, between the hours of 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
     2. Please ensure Grade 12s at your school are aware of the Rewrite request sign-up.
The registration window is CARVED IN STONE, no exceptions!
Recommended that students register, if they are unsure of passing the exam
They must register in person with photo ID & their PEN.
The PEN is printed below their name on their report card.
 
Youth Volunteer Recruitment Orientation
South Vancouver Neighbourhood House is hosting a Youth Volunteer Recruitment Orientation on Monday, June 18th from 4-6 pm, at South Vancouver Neighbourhood House.
 
Training dates will be on June 26, 28, 29 from 1-3 pm.

The VSB Summer School Calendar is available in the Counselling Suite, and the Main Office. Website: http://summer.vsb.bc.ca- it lists fees and school sites and times. Registration starts  on Friday, April 27, 2018. Student's legal names - birthday dates - and PENs are required at time of registration. Vancouver Online Learning (VLN) Summer School Sign-up - Monday, May 14, 2018.
If you areplanning to take an online course this summer, you MUST:
  
1.      Sign up:  http://vlns.ca/enroll
2.      Print out a registration confirmation page and bring it to your school grade counselor.
3.      Be aware that you may be required to write a mid-term or final, in person at John Oliver (VLN Office)
4.      Complete the course by August 4th, so that you can be put into a new course for September, at your home school.
5.      Please Note:  all assignments must be completed, to order to pass the course.
6.      To register for Spring / Summer session, you must register by the first week of July.
 
Please Note:  If you told your counsellor that you were planning to sign up for either Regular Summer School, or On-line Summer School, but decide not to – You must inform him / her immediately.
 
Vancouver Online Learning (VLN) - Summer School - Updated
Registration begins, Monday, May 14, 2018 and Closes Friday, July 6
