Setting Your Computer Password

If you are in Grade 8 or are a new student to Templeton Secondary, your network password has been temporarily
pre-set to be your MyEdBC number (i.e. your student number).  Your MyEDBC number or student number can be found on the computer printout of your timetable.

Your password does not expire.  But it is recommended that you change it periodically.

The first time you log on to the school network use:
YOU MUST CHANGE YOUR PASSWORD!
MyEdBC #
is a
temporary password.

User ID:  Your MyEdBC number (student number)

Password:  Your  MyEdBC number (student number)

HELPFUL HINT / SUGGESTIONS:
  • Start with a basic word that you will remember (i.e. a favourite food, your favourite colour, the name of someone special).  For example:  chocolate
  • The next time you are asked to change the password, keep the word "chocolate" but add a few numbers after it.
    For example:  chocolate913  (9 for September & 13 for the year 2013).
  • When asked to change your password in February 2014, your password would then be:  chocolate214.
In June 2014, the password would be chocolate614, and so on.
If you are having issues with your password, see the Teacher-Librarian for assistance.
