Pre-requisite: Math 10 and Science 10

This course focuses on the art and science of programming computers. Using Java, students will learn the fundamentals of programming computers such as program flow, data structures, file input/output, and how it can be used to develop multi-platform applications. We will also be examining the field of game development using Flash Actionscript to make dice games and Game Maker to make scrolling platform games. After that we will be working on Python programming to learn the basic of programming and looping. If time permits, once we have worked with 2D animation, we will follow that with 3D animation using Rhinoceros to create 3D characters, which can then be animated with Bongo.
