Electronic Devices Policy

Parents provide cellular phones for student safety and contact, and while we respect and appreciate that, CELLULAR PHONES CANNOT BE TURNED ON DURING CLASS TIME (unless allowed by the teacher as part of a learning activity. The disruption they cause in the school as well as their primary social use detracts from the learning environment for all students.  In addition, students are advised that electronic games, cameras, I-Pod’s, iphones, etc. are not to be brought into class. Their use is permitted outside of the classroom but not during classroom instruction time.

WHEN IDENTIFIED, STAFF MEMBERS MAY CONFISCATE THESE ITEMS and return them to the administration.  Students may collect them from the main office at the end of the school day.  If a student continues to bring these items to school or into the classroom, they will only be returned to the possession of a parent/guardian.
