    ·         May 22nd to 30th – Germany partner school visit
    ·         May 29th, Tuesday – PAC Meeting (7pm/room 201)
    ·         May 30th, Wednesday – IPP Day (classes start at 9:25 am)               
    1.       Grade 12 student Sam Kerr who won first place on Saturday at the Provincial level of the Concours d'Art Oratoire and will be going to compete in Ottawa on June 2nd. 
    2.    Sebastion Carthy, Sofie Dierks, Stephanie Cui, Jelena Golijanin, Connor Muggli-Manson who will be published in UBC's annual New Shoots Creative Writing anthology. 
    Well done!
    The Spring Sports season is in full swing! 
    ALL game/match/tee/meet times will be posted on the whiteboard outside of the library at the foot of the main atrium stairway or outside of your coach’s classroom. For up to date scores you can visit the Vancouver Secondary Schools' Athletic Association website 
    The gym schedule is posted outside of the P.E. office.
    Bantam – Grade 8
    Juvenile – Grade 9
    Junior – Grade 10
    Senior – Grade 11/12
    Spring sports this year include: Jr. & Sr. Badminton, Sr. Golf, 2 Jv. Girls Soccer teams, 3 Sr. Girls Tier 2 Soccer teams, 1 Sr. Girls Tier 1 Soccer team, Jr. & Sr. Tennis, All Grades Track and Field, Jr. & Sr. Ultimate, Jr. and Sr. Boys Rugby, and a Bantam Boys Volleyball team. Wowza!! That’s a lot of active student-athletes representing our Kits community!!

    Our Junior Badminton team is 3rd in the west division right behind Churchill with a record of 4-2 so for on the season!
    Our Senior Boys rugby team went undefeated in the Victoria Scrum Fest tournament!  In league play; they put up a great fight against Byng, but came up short. They have a record of 2-1, putting them in second place!
    Our Jr. Rugby team defeated Byng 52-12 in their last game and are poised to face Tupper for the city championship Wed. May 8th after school!
    Both of our Juvenile girls soccer teams are now 1st and 2nd in the standings with records of 4-0 and 3-0!! Oh, and one of Juvenile teams is a grade 8 team!! The Gr. 8 team is playing in the Gr. 9 league because their league folded. That means the Gr. 8 girls have a chance at winning a Juvenile Banner!
    Our Premier Sr. girls’ soccer team is undefeated with a record of 3-0! We are hosting the Provincial Championships this year! More info to come! Thanks to Mr. Sabourin.
    Track and Field: Both senior boys’ 4x100m relay teams qualified for cities along with Thomas Van Alstine came 2nd in senior boy’s high jump earning him a spot in cities.
    A big ‘THANK YOU’ to Gabe Paterson and Payton West for coaching our Track and Field team this year! Of course Vera is an all-star as well ;)
