SFU - SCIENCE ALIVE is a student-run, not-for-profit organization based at Simon Fraser University in Burnaby, BC. We provide opportunities for youth to explore science beyond the textbooks through hands-on, interactive discovery, which stimulates their interest and fosters confidence.

In the months of July and August, we are running summer camps on SFU Burnaby and SFU Surrey Campuses, and are looking for High School Student volunteers and instructors. Our Volunteer positions are open to Grade 9-12 students, and our High School Instructor positions are open to Grade 11-12 students. Volunteers would be assisting the University Instructors in simple class management, preparing materials for activities, and helping campers out in any way they can. High School Instructors would be taking on a bigger leadership role in the classrooms such as teaching the activities, as well as taking on a more active classroom management role. The High School Instructor position is a paid position.

Apply at http://www.sciencealive.ca/volunteer/ by sending in an application, along with a cover letter and resume.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me!

UBC Geering Up is looking to recruit volunteers for the upcoming summer camps offered on the UBC campus. We are always looking for ways to engage the youth in our areas, and this is a great way for high school students to get involved in STEM education and to gain their volunteer hours!
They typically look for volunteers willing to work for one week (Monday - Friday) from 9am-3pm. (30 hours total).

If you know of anyone who might be interested in volunteering for Geering Up this summer please direct them to sign up here: http://geeringup-registration.sites.olt.ubc.ca/ji-application/

More information for volunteers can be found here: http://www.geeringup.apsc.ubc.ca/staff/volunteer/
They still need about 100 volunteers to help out during the summer. Every new recruit helps.
