NUMERACY ASSESSMENTS - UPDATE - IMPORTANT - PLEASE READ

    Dec 18, 2019

UPDATED MESSAGE FROM K. THOMPSON on January 9, 2020:

    Hello Everyone,

Attached are a number of documents related to the Literacy and Numeracy Assessments.  The week’s schedule appears below for quick reference, and also in the attachment if you wish to print a clean copy.  A detailed schedule with class lists has been posted in the hallway by the main office for students to double-check.

Grade 10 students enrolled in a grade 9 or grade 11 math class will be writing on Wednesday, January 22 as per the schedule (Math 9 classes in 1.3 (am), Math 11 classes in 1.1 (pm).  Sorry for the inconvenience this may cause – there was no way to fit them in the computer labs at any other time.  I have asked Priscilla to mark them Absent-Authorized for that block.

Grade 11 and 12 students writing the assessments have signed up to write in EITHER 2.3, 1.1 OR 2.4.  A list of those students will be provided next week.

PE 10 and Math 10 teachers:

Please CAREFULLY review both the schedule and the E-Exams Teacher Instructions by Tuesday, January 14th and advise me of any corrections or if you have any questions.  Please remind your classes of the assessments and tell them which lab you will be in. It would be a good idea to prepare a sign for your classroom door for any latecomers letting them know which lab you are in.  I will place a hardcopy of the schedule plus any other supporting documents in your mailbox by Friday, January 17th.

Please instruct students to meet you at the assigned lab – not your regular classroom– to save time on assessment day.

    Grade 10 Students:

There was also be a student information session about the Graduation Numeracy and Literacy Assessments for grade 10 students on Wednesday, January 8th at lunchtime in the auditorium.
