    Eric Hamber Grad Ceremony June 7th: Update and information

    Eric Hamber Graduation Ceremony will take place at the Orpheum on Wednesday, June 7th, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. 

    The following pro​vides dates and information for parents and students in grade 12:



    Ø  Each grade 12 student will receive two tickets for guests at no extra charge.

    Ø  Additional tickets are available for $5.00 and can be purchased from Ms. Panesar in Room 320 at lunch on June 1 - 6.


    Ø  Grade 12s must be at the Orpheum by 6:00 pm and proceed directly to the Granville Street foyer.

    Ø  Line up in order of row and seat.

    Ø  The ceremony will start at 7:00 pm. Staff will be on hand to provide instructions so pay attention!

    Ø  The ceremony is over two hours long and is not suitable for young children or others who cannot sit for that long.

    Ø  Guests and graduates are expected to remain in their seats for the entire ceremony.

    Ø  A professional photographer will photograph each student as they cross the stage. Guests are not permitted to approach the stage to take photos. Fire marshal regulations require the area remain clear.


    Ø  The rehearsal will take place during Silent Reading and through second period on Thursday, June 1st.

    Ø  ALL students must attend. It is important for everyone to attend so you know what to do at the Orpheum and how to line up.

    Ø   You will be called from your second period class to the auditorium – if you do not have a class, listen for the announcement.


    Ø  Gowns and stoles will be distributed at the Grad Rehearsal on June 1st .  If you are absent on June 1st, caps and gowns can be picked up from Ms. Panesar in Room 320 at lunchtime June 1-6.

    Ø  The caps and gowns are yours to keep.

    Ø  The stole must be returned immediately after the ceremony. The fee for lost stoles is $15.00.

    Transit Passes

    Ø  Each grade 12 student will receive a transit pass valid for two rides any day until June 30th.

    Grad Prom

     Ø Grade 12 students are reminded that Grad Prom is on Friday, May 19th at the Pan Pacific, beginning at 6:00 p.m.

     Ø This is a school-sanctioned event. 

     Ø Most students have purchased tickets for Grad Prom through full payment of Grad fees.
