Please join us Tuesday February 28th at 7pm for a presentation "Parenting 2.0+" by our very own school councellor Mr. Michael Lattimer.
The evening’s presentation will engage in a variety of perspectives that will hopefully have parents understand the ever changing world of the teenage brain and why adolescents sleep in, take risks, and won’t listen to reason.
The evening will also provide a few opportunities for parents to find ways to successfully navigate and move forward despite setbacks, disappointments, and challenges. Parents will also be afforded a few moments in reflection to discover simple solutions in ways to communicate and attach to their children. The evening will conclude with a short presentation from Mr. Lattimer’s son, Maxwell, who represented Canada in the 2016 Rio Olympic Games. Maxwell will provide an interactive session with the audience that explains avenues to use the world of athletics in order to pursue academic studies at the post-secondary level.
It is with great hopes that you will be able to join us for this evening of Parenting 2.0.
And a quick reminder that the school's "Jazz Cabaret" is Thursday February the 23rd at 6:30 in the school Cafeteria. Hope you can join us for both exciting events!
