Auto Service Technician


  The Vancouver School Board, in partnership with 
  Vancouver Community College offer the ITA Youth TRAIN
  in Trade​​ Auto Service Technician program
Students have the opportunity to earn both high school and post-secondary credits, while training to become a Level 1 certified ITA apprentice.​​
Program Details
This full time program is held​ at Britannia Secondary on Day 2s and ​occasionally at Vancouver Community College (VCC).​​
The School District will cover the cost of tuition however, students are responsible to purchase their own program learning resources and tools.

Course Contents
Students will learn how to diagnose and repair all facets of ​automotive operation: power train, suspension, brakes, electrical, air conditioning and more.
  • "L" driver's license​​​
  • Auto Tech 11 & 12​, Engine and Drivetrain 12 (recommended)
  • knowledge of computers
Program Length
​September to June on Day 2's​
