Attendance Policy for ALL Final Exams

The attendance policy is the SAME for final exams written during class time and during exam week. Absences for exams due to illness will only be excused with a doctor’s note for illness. Appointments that can be rescheduled are not considered valid reasons to miss an exam. Students will need to report to the office to reschedule the missed exam.

Best of luck on your tests!

2019 Provincial Numeracy Assessment

The Provincial Numeracy Assessment is a graduation requirement and can be written in grade 10, 11, or 12. The provincially mandated dates in June 2019 for the Numeracy Assessment are June 21, 24, 25, 26, and 27. Last June, all of our grade 10's and 11's were scheduled to write the assessment. This year, all grade 10's will be scheduled as well as students in grade 11 and 12 who did not write the assessment last June.

Any grade 11 or 12 student wishing to rewrite the assessment will need to register through the office. Numeracy Assessment times for students will be organized alphabetically by grade and last name. Lord Byng is not able to accommodate alternate writing times for students. If a student is unable to write the assessment during their assigned time, their next opportunity to write at Lord Byng will be June 2020.

Questions regarding the Numeracy Assessment can be directed to Mr. Tuerlings, Vice-Principal, via email at atuerlings@vsb.bc.ca
