    Term 1 Reports and Parent-Teacher Conferences
    On Thursday, December 6th 2018, Term 1 report cards will be issued electronically via the MyEducation BC website. You will find a PDF version of the report card that shows the grade, attendance summary and teachers’ comments. If your child is in grade 8 and this is your first time logging into the system, please do so from a desktop computer rather than a mobile device. Grade 8 students were all given new accounts with “District$2018” as the password. The User ID is the student number. For returning users, if you are having difficulty logging in, please try the following three options in this order:
    1. User ID – student number, Password “District$2018”
    2. Use the “I forgot my password” function found on the login screen
    3. Send an email to or to have your password reset (this may take several days; do not send an email to the vice principals (Vulgaris and Tuerlings) until you have tried the above two options). Be sure to include your name and student number in the email.
    Lord Byng Parent-Teacher Conferences

    3:30 pm – 5:30 pm & 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm
    Lord Byng Parent Teacher Conferences are being held on Tuesday December 11th 2018, from 3:30 pm – 5:30 pm and 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm in the Main Gym.  Sign up for conferences will be done on-line. Simplified instructions can be found at the end of this message.  Detailed instructions for the sign-up process are linked to the Lord Byng Web Site under the “Parent” tab. 
    Bookings start: Wednesday, December 5th at 8pm
    Bookings close: Monday, December 10th at 11pm
    Parents will initially be able to sign up for 4 appointments starting on December 5th. On December 7th at 6 pm you will be able to sign up for additional appointments. Bookings will start at 8:00 pm on December 5th, 2018, but parents may register and create their account at any time (all previous accounts are deleted annually). You are encouraged to register for an account before bookings begin. For best availability you are advised to sign up for conferences as soon as you are able after 8:00 pm on December 5th. We recommend that you leave 5 minutes between appointments for travel time from teacher to teacher. Some teachers fill up very quickly after bookings open. If all of the appointments are filled for a teacher that you wish to see, you will need to contact the teacher by email or phone to arrange an opportunity for further contact. Counsellors, Resource teachers, and teacher-librarians will be available for drop in appointments. Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin) interpreters are available. You can also book them online when you make an appointment with a teacher. It is recommended that parents do not bring their son or daughter to translate. Thank you!     School Appointments - Parent Instructions
    1. Go to our school appointments web site:
    2. Register for an account by clicking the "REGISTER" menu tab and filling in the on-line form. Choose a user id and password for yourself and then click the "Register Now" button.
    3. Add your children into the system by clicking the "Add a Student" button. Click "Insert New" button to add more children.
    4. Click the "date" icon beside each child's name to schedule appointments. Select the staff you wish to book appointments with and the "View Calendars" button. Use the "Ctrl" or "Command" key to select multiple staff to view at the same time.
    5. Click on available time slots to book your appointments and then click the "Book Appointments" button to save your bookings.
