*Host an International Student - Join Langara Homestay*
Langara College invites you and your family to join our highly regarded Homestay Program by hosting a VSB international student this year. Our students come from Europe, Asia and South America - usually stay for five to 10 months, and are keen to experience life with a Vancouver family.  Generous reimbursement is provided. Sports Day, Friday May 19th

​Primary sports activities are in the morning on the school field and intermediate sports activities start at 1:15pm at Balaclava Park.

Professional Day - Friday, February 24th

There is no school for children on Friday

Reflooring Project - closure of the Collingwood St. school entrance and hallway to the Music Rooms and Pre-School

​The 1st phase of the reflooring project should take approximately 2 weeks (November 28-December 12th).

Remembrance Day Ceremony, November 9th @ 11am

​Parents and family members are invited to join us for our annual Remembrance Day Ceremony in the gym.  The Grade 6/7 students of Division 3 will be leading this assembly. 

October 17
Parent Advisory Committee Meeting - Wednesday, October 19th at 7pm

​The meeting will be held in the school library.  Childcare for young children is available.

Come and learn more about the PAC plans for the school year.

September 26
Goal Setting Conferences October 4th and 5th

​A note was sent home so that you can arrange to meet with your child's teacher early in October.  Goal setting meetings are an opportunity for you to discuss your child's learning strengths and areas for growth this year and to learn about how your child is settling into her/her new class.  For parents who speak Mandarin or Cantonese, an interpreter can be booked to help you speak to the teacher.
