1.      STUDENT LOCKERSStudents are reminded to occupy only lockers that were registered through If you have signed up for a locker, please put a lock on it before the end of class on Wednesday September 13. After that date, lockers without locks will be taken back and issued to another user. 2.      EUROPE TRIP 2019 (SPRING BREAK)If you are interested in visiting some of the most famous cities in the world like Paris, Amsterdam and Berlin – come to a meeting at 12 noon on Friday, September 14th in Room 316.                            P. Scaglione (14)


3.      ATTENTION GRADE 11SWork Experience! Using your Office 365 email, please confirm your attendance to the mandatory WorkSafeBC meeting on September 18th by today! Also, see Mrs. James by the end of this week to sign enrolment forms. 4.      ATTENTION GRADE 11SDaily Physical Activity! One of the tasks required of you is to collect evidence in the area of personal health (150 minutes per week of moderate/vigorous daily physical activity). If you are enrolled in Dance/PE this school year, your DPA requirement for Grade 11 will be met and you will not have to submit DPA logs. If you are not enrolled in Dance/PE, keep your own records of your DPA AND submit your DPA via the online form for each term via the link found on the Hamber website – Students – Graduation.                       E. 5.      LORAN SCHOLARSHIPSIn 2018-2019, the Loran Scholars Foundation will offer up to 138 awards to well-rounded students who demonstrate character, promise of leadership and strong commitment to service in the community.  The website is now open and is accepting applications.

The school is able to sponsor 3 candidates.  Students are also able to apply through direct pool applications.  If you would like to be considered for school sponsorship, you must complete your online application by October 1st so that Ms. Sandhu and Ms. Jensen have enough time to review your application.  Please see Ms. Sandhu for further information.                                                                           N. 6.      GIRLS FIELD HOCKEY TRYOUTSSenior Girls Field Hockey Tryouts will be held Wednesday, September 12th and Thursday, September 13th at 3:30 pm on the turf field.  No experience required.                                         I. Sehmbi (12)


7.      JUNIOR BOYS SOCCER TRYOUTSAll Grade 8, 9, and 10 boys interested in playing school soccer must attend the Junior Boys Tryouts on Wednesday, September 12th at 3:30 on the Oval.                                            I. Sehmbi (12)


8.      PIZZA!  Pizza sales at lunch are resuming.  Come to the Atrium at lunch on Tuesdays and Thursdays.  Pizza is $2.50 per slice.  Supplies are limited, so get these as soon as possible.  Pizza sales are currently a fundraiser for Reach for the Top.                                                                                              X.
