Family Movie Night - Friday, May 11

Showing Ferdinand. Gym doors open at 5:30pm, movie starts at 6pm. No drop offs. Pizza, popcorn, drinks and other treats at the concession. Entrance by donation.


FUN FAIR 2018 – Friday June 1 from 5-8pm

Fun Fair is Emily Carr’s Annual Carnival – with games, bbq, DJ, silent auction, cake walk, face painting, photo booth, bouncy castles and more!  The goal of the event is to strengthen the community by getting people together to meet each other and have fun.  It is also the main fundraising event of the year.  The money raised is used to buy items needed by the school.


Fun Fair Pre Sale Ticket Orders

Now open on You can also submit the paper form (attached and coming home in backpacks) and payment to the white PAC box in the hallway outside the office.  Deadline is May 28.  Buy your tickets ahead of time to skip the line up at Fun Fair!!


Fun Fair Parent Volunteer Form

Please fill out attached form and submit to the white PAC box in the hallway outside the office by May 23.  Or send an email to noting what shift you would like - drink or food stations...  games...  face painting...


List of Basket Themes

There is a silent auction at Fun Fair that raises about $5,000 for the school each year. The items come from donations - and also from the theme baskets put together by each classroom. The themes chosen for class baskets so far are as follows:

Div. 2 Beach Sports (squirt guns, towels, balls, sunscreen, floaties, water balloons, frisbee, Nerf, etc...)

Fun Fair BBQ

For the BBQ, we traditionally have each class find 5 volunteers to make salads and veggie/fruit plates.   The list of what types of dishes are needed is below.  If someone wants to bring something different, totally ok.  If the salads are bought, that is awesome.  

Div 1 and 2 - green salads
Div 3 and 4 - ceasar salads
Div 5 and 6 - veggie plates
Div 7 and 8 - green or ceasar salads
Div 9, 10 and 11 - fruit plates
Div 12, 13 and 14 - desserts

RED ALERT Notices Re: 2018 Yearbook

-Thank you to those of you who have submitted your pink form to express interest in ordering a yearbook! If you want a yearbook and have not yet submitted the completed pink form, please submit it Monday by the end of the day.  

-Also, a reminder to submit any photos you may have that you would like to be considered for the yearbook to OR aliatracy@gmail.comPlease ensure you have permission to share the photos from parents of all students in the photosPlease submit photos ASAP and by May 11, as our deadline to get the completed yearbook in to be ready before the end of school is May 21. 

-Yearbook ordering will soon be made possible via Munchalunch - stay tuned! :)


Sports Day

Our annual Sports Day is Wednesday, May 16th. The day will start at 9am. Our theme is Video Games. A huge thank you to all of the Grade 7 students who will organize and run the events. Sports Day finishes at 2pm. Students are welcome to go home with a parent at 2pm. Let's hope for a warm sunny day!



The PAC Annual General Meeting is Tuesday, May 29 at 6:30pm in the library.  Childcare will be provided in the music room.  This is the big night of elections.  If you are interested in joining the PAC Executive – please come to the meeting.  You can contact Katie at if you have any questions before the meeting.
