The South Hill Youth Program is for youth aged 16-18 who:
a) were not successful in the regular or alternative secondary school due to attendance, lifestyle or family issues
b) are working at or above a Grade 10 level.
This program
provides students who have left secondary school with opportunities
for individualized, self-paced learning in a structured yet flexible
program. There is a strong emphasis on personal responsibility, respect
and a shared “social contract” of beliefs and agreements.
Courses include core Grade 10/11/12 subjects and a variety of electives.
The program runs on a semester basis from early September through June and is open Monday through Thursday.
If
you are between 16 and 18 and think the Youth Program might fit your
learning needs, please phone the South Hill office at 604-713-5770 and
ask to
book an appointment with Vicki, Academic Advisor.
